Its function is to assist commercial brokers and affiliate members in the betterment of their profession. New Hampshire CIBOR is the first statewide commercial Board in America. Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and Real Property Administrator (RPA)

The Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI) is a non-profit organization with the endorsement of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) to provide quality education for building managers. BOMI offers the RPA designation, which provides real estate professionals with the skills to meet financial goals, address legal issues and streamline building operations. Designees learn about energy management, environmental concerns, ethics in business and how to maximize a property's net income while minimizing risks. Alan Roy has this designation.

Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) Alan Roy  is a Fellow of HFMA. Members are professionals employed by healthcare organizations. It was established in 1946, as the American Association of Hospital Accountants by hospital accountants to address the needs of their profession.
